Todd Blankenbecler, General Manager of EasyRx, shares his thoughts on the new alliance:
“We’re delighted to partner with 3DISC, a company committed to advancing digital dentistry. This collaboration not only meets the demands of our users for an integrated, high-tech workflow, but it also sets a new standard for patient care by combining our platform with 3DISC’s advanced intraoral scanning solutions.”
Joe Andrasko, Vice President of Business Development, shares his thoughts on the new alliance:
”We are very excited to partner with EasyRx, which has been a pioneer in the digital workflow at the forefront of dentistry today. This collaboration makes it easier than ever for practitioners to share and use their scan data across EasyRx’s vast digital ecosystem, enabling many advanced applications for faster and better patient care.”
3DISC’s OVO and Heron IOS technologies boast a user-friendly interface and a design built for comfort. More than scanning tools, they also capture patient images and track patient data over time. In particular, 3DISC’s OVO is unique in its ability to combine intraoral scanning, dental imaging, and time-sequenced patient data, all within a compact, 165-gram device. Combined with the Scan & Tell software, the OVO facilitates better patient-practitioner communication, allowing a complete and shareable overview of a patient’s dental health in under three minutes.
Through this integration, EasyRx continues its mission to modernize the entire lab prescription management process for dentists and orthodontists. Dental practices and labs are now empowered to minimize manual tasks through a more streamlined digital workflow. In doing so, providers can now reduce manual tasks and focus on quality patient care.
ST. LOUIS, April 16, 2020– In an ongoing effort to strategically support innovation among orthodontists and partners in the industry, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) named Todd Blankenbecler, president and CEO of EasyRx, its 2020 AAO Ortho Innovator Award recipient. The AAO Ortho Innovator Award, now in its second year, sorts through the best-of-the-best in orthodontic innovation and highlights the company and/or individual whose potential to significantly impact orthodontic practice operations rises to the top. “We are honored and tremendously grateful to receive the 2020 Ortho Innovator Award,” Blankenbecler said. Blankenbecler leads a company that offers orthodontists state-of-the-art tools to streamline and centralize digital workflow. EasyRx products include a universal lab prescription management and tracking application; a fully integrated digital workflow platform for practices to submit cases, both physical and digital; and software for trimming, basing, and labeling STL files to prepare print-ready 3D files. Traditional lab prescription workflow has been to submit cases using each lab’s prescription system. These systems vary greatly and may be based on email, fax, PDF, or web portal logins. There is often no way to track cases submitted to the lab. If a practice submits clear aligner, indirect bonding and custom bracket prescriptions to multiple labs, including their in-house lab, the staff must learn and manage multiple systems. As ‘digital’ becomes a standard part of orthodontic practice, the management of lab prescriptions, digital files and workflow are critical to practices. The integrated approach offered by EasyRx helps orthodontic practices avoid inefficient and costly juggling of multiple systems to handle these tasks. A veteran in the orthodontic software industry, Mr. Blankenbecler was a principle in Dolphin Imaging and Management Solutions. He led the introduction of Dolphin Management to the orthodontic market. In addition to Mr. Blankenbecler, EasyRx is led by Dr. Marc Lemchen, a practicing orthodontist in New York City. Dr. Lemchen was the founder of Dolphin Imaging and Management Solutions along with other orthodontic focused software companies, including V.COM and Oaktree Storage. The AAO Ortho Innovator competition is judged by the AAO Committee on Technology (C-TECH).
